FAQs
What is the Rosie Pro job?
Rosie Pros take care of kids and help families with the around-the-house stuff that piles up — dishes, laundry, tidying, the works. You're matched with vetted families in your area and get paid hourly for the time you spend with them.
How is it different from being a babysitter or nanny?
Babysitting is usually one family, often last-minute, often unpredictable. Nanny roles lock you into one family full-time. Rosie sits in between by taking on the work to find and match you to families and manage the scheduling and payments.
Can I be a Rosie Pro if I have other jobs?
Yes And almost all our Pros do. Whether you're in school, working part-time somewhere else, or piecing together a few things, Rosie is built to flex around your life.
What kind of hours do I work? What's my schedule?
You tell us when you're available and we match you with families during those windows.
What do I earn?
You earn an hourly rate of $22 every time you work, with opportunities for that rate to increase and opportunities for monthly bonuses as you grow in the Rosie community. As you build experience with Rosie, and relationships with families, you will be added to their “bench” allowing you to earn a higher hourly rate. As you work more hours each month, this rate will continue to increase.
Can anyone be a Rosie Pro? What makes a good one?
The best Rosie Pros have real childcare experience (paid or in your own family), are CPR certified or willing to get certified, and bring warmth, judgment, and follow-through. Plus you bing detail orientedness, and a mind for efficiency when it comes to supporting a busy home (think laundry, dishes, and house projects!)
How long does it take to start earning?
Most Pros are working their first sessions within a week of applying. The process includes an intake, skills review, background/reference checks, skills assessment, and shadow sessions to set you up for success!
